ABOUT FAMILY LIFE YOUTH & MULTI CULTURAL CENTRE

The Family Life Youth & Multicultural Centre (FLYMC) is a community-driven organization committed to empowering youth and fostering multicultural unity. Our mission is to create a welcoming space where individuals from all walks of life can connect, learn, and grow. Through engaging programs, educational support, and cultural initiatives, we strive to build a stronger, more inclusive community.

At FLYMC, we believe in the power of mentorship, creativity, and collaboration to inspire positive change. Whether you’re looking to develop new skills, find a sense of belonging, or contribute to meaningful projects, you’ll find a home here.

Our Programs

These are just some of the programs we offer to engage, empower, and support youth and families in our community. Whether you're looking for creative arts, sports, mentorship, or social programs, there's something for everyone!

Youth Theatre Program

This program provides youth ages 10-20 with opportunities to develop their skills in singing, acting, and dancing through plays, concerts, and community showcases. Sessions include rehearsals, workshops, and performance training to build confidence and creativity. This free drop-in program runs bi-weekly, and students may register anytime.

Boys and Girls Club

This program facilitates bi-weekly meeting with student ages 10-20. Meeting consist of gender specific lessons and activities with occasional outings geared towards character development. This program is a free drop in program and student may register anytime.

Arthritis Wellness Program

This bi-weekly program offers fitness sessions and educational seminars for arthritis management. Led by clinicians and instructors, it focuses on movement, pain relief, and wellness. Last April, a seminar featured healthcare professionals sharing symptom relief strategies.

Crochet Club

This program empowers young girls by teaching them the art of crochet and hands-on crafting. Through guided sessions, they develop creativity, patience, and fine motor skills while learning to create beautiful handmade pieces. Beyond crafting, the program fosters confidence, problem-solving, and a sense of accomplishment in a supportive and encouraging environment.
